Do you offer a credentialing and recredentialing application for client use?

Yes! We have designed a health care application for client use at initial credentialing and a separate application for use at re-credentialing. Credentialing Solutions® can mail out the application to providers as part of our services, and the application to check health care qualifications is also available for download from our website.

What credentialing guidelines are used?

We will perform credentialing to meet your company’s specific needs whether that be full URAC, or TJC standards or a customized package all your own to check doctors credentials. Our services are tailored to you!

How many requests do you make to obtain verification from hospitals, training facilities, and other agencies?

VerifPoint Credentialing Solutions® makes three requests for information prior to contacting the client and discussing alternative methods to check health care provider qualifications, if possible.

Can you accommodate clients outside of California?

Absolutely! Currently, we have many clients located outside of California who check health care provider credentials. There is no delay in processing credentials, and when needed expedited mailing/shipping services are used to check provider qualifications and check doctors credentials.

Do you follow-up with providers if information is missing from the application?

Yes! VerifPoint Credentialing Solutions® makes up to three requests for missing information from a provider to ensure a complete application packet is returned to you. We pride ourselves on exhausting all resources to check doctors credentials and we are always in constant communication with the client to determine any special course of action that should be taken on a difficult file.

Do you offer on-line data access to check provider credentials?

Yes! Through our secure website, clients wishing to check provider credentials may log-in with their personal “username” and “password” and access any of our CS Reports, provider profiles, view “in-process” work, and download their provider data for use in designing custom reports or for inclusion into their own database to check physician qualifications.

Provider Relations

Who is VerifPoint and what do you do?

We are a Credentials Verification Organization (CVO) and are contracted by Healthcare organizations to do the credentialing for their network.

We also offer other services such as primary source verification, background checks, medical billing, and data management.

What is credentialing?

Credentialing is the process by which a health organization determines whether a healthcare practitioner is qualified to render acceptable quality of care to patients. It is focused on the collection and verification of information.

Why did I receive a form from VerifPoint?

If you are receiving a form from us is because a health care organization has requested to start the credentialing process on their behalf.

How do I know what plan is requesting the information?

The name of the plan requesting this information is on the top left-hand side of the cover letter you received from VerifPoint.

Am I signing up for any new coverage?

No, you are not. A healthcare organization that you have already signed up for is requesting that we complete the credentialing process on their behalf. To sign up for a new plan, you would start the enrollment process. Please contact us if you would like to enroll in a new plan.

Is there a charge for this?

No, the insurance company hired VerifPoint to process their credentialing needs.

Please contact us if you need additional credentialing done for your office, hospital, or facility.

Can you provide me with a new fee schedule?

We do not provide fee schedules. To get that information you need to contact the plan directly.

You may have also received this information during the enrollment process.
